RAMAS GIS 5.0 / Metapop 5.0 Update 

Instructions for downloading and installing the update:

1. Make sure that RAMAS Metapop 5.0 or RAMAS GIS 5.0 is already installed on the computer.
2. Find out the folder (directory) where the program was originally installed (e.g., C:\Program files\RAMASGIS or C:\Program files\Metapop).
3. Check and record the filedate of the file Metapop.exe in the program folder:
   • If the filedate is between 15 March 2005 and 1 August 2006, download the update file as instructed below.
   • If the filedate is before 15 March 2005, you have a previous version and this update will not work; you have to upgrade to version 5.0.
   • If the filedate is after 1 August 2006, you need not continue; you already have the updated program.
4. Download the file Update504.EXE (680 Kb) and save it in a folder in the computer where RAMAS GIS or RAMAS GIS or Metapop is installed.
5. Open the folder where you saved Update504.EXE, right-click on the file, select "Properties", and check the file size to make sure it is 696,759 bytes.
6. Run the file you downloaded by double-clicking on it, and follow the instructions.
7. If the update installation does not find the correct program folder, make sure to specify the program folder (from step 2 above).
